Through some grating

This has only been tried with Wario, but will probably work with any character. Go to Tick Tock Clock, and try to freeze the time - this makes it easier. To freeze the time, enter the clock at any o'clock. Climb up the level until you reach the area where there are three things that spring out from the walls, with a yellow grate above them (which houses a block with ten coins). They should be extended outwards so that there is just a little bit of squeeze space to get past them (if not, you may need to exit and then reenter the level). Go past them and then jump onto the edge of the grating above the springy thing so that you grab it and hang off of it. Then, fall off of it. You should land on the spring thing and have the grating going through your midsection. Walk forwards and you will fall through it; jump and you'll go on top of it.

Multiple hats, slow down the game

Note: This also may work on the N64 version of the game.
Does it work? --> Unconfirmed. We'll check soon.

Go to course 10. Get your hat blown off and near the giant ice cubes, there will be a small box. Pick it up and throw it at the snowman who has your hat. You will get it back but if you do it again, you will get two hats, then four, and so on. If there are too many hats, your game will freeze. If you get at least eight hats on the ground and go in the cannon toward the big snowman's mouth, it will blow you down and you will get multiple hats. Everything around the hats will freeze and everything will become slow.

Go inside the pyramid in Shifting Sand Land. Go to the end of the sandy walkway, on an upper level, where a wired platform is located above a slanted surface. While on top of the grated surface, jump in between the wall and the edge of the grated surface. If done correctly, your character should repeatedly attempt to grab on, fall, grab on, and fall from the edge rapidly until he reaches the end of the line.

This has only been tried with Mario, but could work with other characters. Go to the Princess's Secret Slide and slide to the bottom, but don't get the star. When you get to the bottom, turn around and face towards the slide(you must be exactly straight) Run towards it and jump onto the slide. Don't press any buttons. If you did it correctly, Mario or whoever you have should go straight up the slide very slowly. Once you get to the turn, though, you will turn around and go back down.

Freeze the game with cap confusion

Enter Tall, Tall Mountain as Yoshi and get a cap. Get to the top of the stage and throw the monkey off. Then, go to the monkey that steals your cap. Pick him up and lose your cap. This is the tricky part - jump and eat the cap off of his head. If you eat the monkey, try again. If you ate it off of the top of his head, your game will freeze!
