I painstakingly (with the help of great people like Digital Xeron) created a website dedicated to the Sonic Glitches Guides. The site is run by me (Sonic Adventure DX and Sonic Adventure DX:PC Glitches Guides) and Rattleman (Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 Glitches Guides). It's a great place if you need quick reference to the guides, and is also the easiest way to contact us if you need any help or want to donate glitches, as we created a Message Board just for you. You can access the site at: http://glitchesguides.zyns.com/ And here's a quick link to the forums: http://glitchesguides.zyns.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi (Must register to post) If you would rather have a one-on-one conversation with us, we have an IRC channel. How do you get there? First, download and IRC client, a popular one would be mIRC (http://www.mirc.com). When mIRC is downloaded and installed, execute it and put in your user info and click OK (note that the first three fields MUST be filled). In the window, type "/server phasedisruptor.ath.cx" (Without quotes). It should connect. When it does, a window should pop up. In it, type "#sggd" (Once again, without quotes), and press Enter. You should now be in our chat room. Fell free to initiate conversation. Once you have mIRC installed, you can quickly get to the chatroom via Internet Explorer by typing in the address box: irc://phasedisruptor.ath.cx/sggd See you there! ____ _ / ___| ___ _ __ (_) ___ \___ \ / _ \ | '_ \ | | / __| ___) || (_) || | | || || (__ |____/ \___/ |_| |_||_| \___| _ _ _ / \ __| |__ __ ___ _ __ | |_ _ _ _ __ ___ / _ \ / _` |\ \ / // _ \| '_ \ | __|| | | || '__|/ _ \ / ___ \| (_| | \ V /| __/| | | || |_ | |_| || | | __/ /_/ \_\\__,_| \_/ \___||_| |_| \__| \__,_||_| \___| ____ __ __ | _ \\ \/ / _ | | | |\ / (_) | |_| |/ \ _ |____//_/\_\(_) ____ ____ __ __ _ | _ \ / ___| \ \ / /___ _ __ ___ (_) ___ _ __ | |_) || | \ \ / // _ \| '__|/ __|| | / _ \ | '_ \ | __/ | |___ \ V /| __/| | \__ \| || (_) || | | | |_| \____| \_/ \___||_| |___/|_| \___/ |_| |_| ____ _ _ _ _ ____ _ _ / ___|| |(_)| |_ ___ | |__ ___ ___ / ___| _ _ (_) __| | ___ | | _ | || || __|/ __|| '_ \ / _ \/ __| | | _ | | | || | / _` | / _ \ | |_| || || || |_| (__ | | | || __/\__ \ | |_| || |_| || || (_| || __/ \____||_||_| \__|\___||_| |_| \___||___/ \____| \__,_||_| \__,_| \___| __ __ _ \ \ / /___ _ __ ___ (_) ___ _ __ \ \ / // _ \| '__|/ __|| | / _ \ | '_ \ \ V /| __/| | \__ \| || (_) || | | | \_/ \___||_| |___/|_| \___/ |_| |_| ____ ___ |___ \ / _ \ __) | | | | | / __/ _| |_| | |_____|(_)\___/ NOTE: THIS GUIDE WAS TESTED WITH THE JAPANESE VERSION OF SONIC ADVENTURE DX: PC __________________________________ / Made By RattleMan \ / Also Made By SonicHackr2000 \ / SonicHackr2000@excite.co.jp \ / http://glitchesguides.zyns.com \ / (Forums at bottom of page) \ _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Version Number: 2.0 Revision # 3 First Written: - Wednesday, December 24, 2003 (SADX:PC Version) - Sunday, January 13th, 2003 (SADX Version) - Monday, July 31, 2000 (Dreamcast Version). Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh.............. Hello and WELCOME to the Sonic Adventure DX: PC Glitches Guide! My name is SonicHackr2000. Unlike most guides, this is not a simple emblem or Chao guide. This guide is devoted to displaying glitches that have been found in the Sonic Adventure DX: PC game. In this guide you will find many, many glitches, totally new and interesting. Lock yourself into a good chair because you will be going on a wild ride to try these glitches! --------------------------------- A. ATTENTION WEBMASTERS -------------------- YOU MUST HAVE MY PERMISSION TO HOST MY GUIDE ON YOUR WEB PAGE! -------------------------------------- 4. Characters in Other Levels Glitches -------------------------------------- This is a list of characters that you can get into other levels and how to get them in there in Sonic Adventure DX: PC. The following glitches have been tested, and should work. The ones I have tried have worked on the American version of the game. I'm not sure if they will work on the Japanese version, though. This isn't a complete list. Happy Glitching! < A. TAILS IN EMERALD COAST! > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Jet Anklet, Rhythm Badge is optional. Character: Tails Where Preformed: Station Square SPECIAL NOTICE/WARNING FOR THIS GLITCH: IF YOU SHUT YOUR PC OFF DURING A SAVE OR WHILE IN A ACTION STAGE THE SAVE FILE WILL BE DELETED. TO PREVENT THIS, TRY NOT TO DO ANYTHING THAT WOULD REQUIRE YOU TO RESET DURING THE ACTION STAGES AWESOME: If you die on the second part, shut off then restart and select the VMU which had the file, the file will have actually registered that Tails went into Emerald coast, it will say: TAILS (S) (T) -------- From - Wherever Completed - Emerald Coast Go into the Hotel Pool, look at the sliding glass door, then on the left is a corner. Go to that, let go of the control stick, and then fly up. You should go through the ceiling. THen just make your way to Emerald Coast There is a map below that shows you how to do it. Map To Get To Emerald Coast: _ and | = Wall (go behind these) U = Umbrella # = Sliding Doors J = Jump & Fly Here Arrows (follow these) = <, >, ^, EC = Emerald Coast EC__<____<_____<____< U U > J|U^ | | | # # UPDATE ON THE BLUE FOG: BFOD in Sonic Adventure DX: PC (Blue Fog of Death), similar to the kind of BSOD in Microsoft Windows (Blue Screen of Death), can be bypassed if you hit a checkpoint. BEWARE IF YOU DIE ON THE FIRST PART OF EMERALD COAST, YOU WILL COME BACK BUT THERE WILL BE ZERO VISIBILITY AS THERE IS A THICK BLUE FOG. EVEN IF YOU EXIT AND RETURN TO STATION SQUARE IT WILL BE HAZY!!!!! WATCH OUT! THIS "FOG" WILL STAY IN EFFECT UNTIL YOU ACTUALLY TURN OFF THE PC THEN TURN IT BACK ON! I have conquered that this blue "fog" is actually the color of the emptiness below the level. < B. Knuckles in the sewer > Difficulty: Medium Requirements: NONE Character: Knuckles Where Preformed: Station Square Go to the area where Sonic fought Chaos 0. To the left of the doors to Speed Highway, there are some blue windows. Go to the wall between the 2 closest windows. Jump and you'll go through the ledge. when you're in the ledge, glide and go left. You'll grab onto a climbable wall. Climb up and glide around the outside of the buildings. When you go below street level, glide towards the sewer. < C. Tails in the sewer > Difficulty: Medium/Hard Requirements: Jet Anklet Character: Tails Where Preformed: Station Square First off do this glitch with Knuckles and remeber the location of the wall he climbed up on. Then get Tails and Do the same glitch, except land on the area where Knuckles climbed up on. Jump, turn the corner, and start flying to the sewer. Make sure to time it right though; if you end up dying, you started flying too late. If you end up on the street, you started flying too soon. < D. TAILS IN NON-PLAYABLE TWINKLE PARK! > Difficulty: Medium/Hard Requirements: Jet Anklet Character: Tails Where Preformed: Station Square SPECIAL NOTICE/WARNING FOR THIS GLITCH: IF YOU SHUT YOUR PC OFF DURING A SAVE OR WHILE IN A ACTION STAGE THE SAVE FILE WILL BE DELETED. TO PREVENT THIS, TRY NOT TO DO ANYTHING THAT WOULD REQUIRE YOU TO RESET DURING THE ACTION STAGES NOTE: You should only try this glitch if (A). You already completed Tails' adventure or (B). You have no intention of bringing him further in his adventure. Part 1: Method 1: If you already have the Circut Card, skip this part. Stand Under the the tube where the Elevator that brings you to Twinkle Park is. You need to stand in the middle of the small dark grey area. Then, jump a and move forward a bit at the same time, and you should be pushed into the tube. Then, make your way to Twinkle Park by following Part 2 Method 2. If you already have the Circut Card, skip this part. First, get in the sewer using the above glitch. Jump on one of the pipes to your left or right side, and jump into the hole in the ceiling. Fly to the other side of the box and make your way to Twinkle Park. See Part 2. Part 2: Go get the Circuit card (if you have it) and then go to the Twinkle Park entrance/exit. Don't go in there, instead, stand in between the doors and start flying. You should be pushed through the ceiling. Fly over to Twinkle Park. Unfotunately, the game doesn't know where to put Tails, so it puts him in a place where you fall forever. If you have an Action Replay, however, use the Tails infinite fly code and follow the Knuckles in Twinkle Park instructions for more information. When you get to the 2nd part of Twinkle Park, fly to land before you die. Map For Twinkle Park: E = Station Square Entrance TC = Twinkle Circuit TP = Twinkle Park F = Fly here D = Down Where to fly = Arrows > ______TC________ E | F > > > > > > > TP D E | < E. KNUCKLES IN EMERALD COAST! > Map To Get To Emerald Coast: _ and | = Wall (go behind these) U = Umbrella B = Burger man # = Sliding Doors Arrows (follow these) = <, >, ^, EC = Emerald Coast EC__<____<_____<____< U U |U ^ | |^ |_______ #< < # B # # Difficulty: Easy/Medium Requirements: NONE. Character: Knuckles Where Preformed: Station Square SPECIAL NOTICE/WARNING FOR THIS GLITCH: IF YOU SHUT YOUR PC OFF DURING A SAVE OR WHILEIN A ACTION STAGE THE SAVE FILE WILL BE DELETED. TO PREVENT THIS, TRY NOT TO DO ANYTHINGTHAT WOULD REQUIRE YOU TO RESET DURING THE ACTION STAGES This is a cool glitch to play as Knuckles in Emerald coast. Get the Burger Statue (the man with his arms out next to the burger shop) and take him to the hotel. Set the camera to free mode. Now, inside the hotel, place him in between the 2nd and 3rd tile from the right wall facing the doors on the 2nd row of tiles, then, standing right next to the wall run forward and you should be pushed through. I've discovered that wether you go through the wall of not is totally random, so keep trying if you don't go through. Once you go throught the wall, make your way to Emerald Coast. < F. KNUCKLES IN TWINKLE PARK! > Map For Twinkle Park: E = Station Square Entrance TC = Twinkle Circuit TP = Twinkle Park ^ = Climb where arrow is pointing D = Down Where to fly = Arrows > ______TC________ E | ^> > > > > > > TP D E | Difficulty: Easy/Medium Requirements: NONE Character: Knuckles Where Preformed: Station Square SPECIAL NOTICE/WARNING FOR THIS GLITCH: IF YOU SHUT YOUR PC OFF DURING A SAVE OR WHILE IN A ACTION STAGE THE SAVE FILE WILL BE DELETED. TO PREVENT THIS, TRY NOT TO DO ANYTHING THAT WOULD REQUIRE YOU TO RESET DURING THE ACTION STAGES NOTE: You should only use this glitch if you have already beaten Knuckles' adventure or have no intention of taking him further in his adventure. Part 1: If you have the Cart Pass then skip this part. Method 1: Method 1: If you already have the Circut Card, skip this part. Stand under the the tube where the Elevator that brings you to Twinkle Park is. You need to stand in the middle of the small dark grey area. Then, jump a and move forward a bit at the same time, and you should be pushed into the tube. Then, make your way to Twinkle Park by following Part 2 Method 2: Do the "Knuckles in the sewer" glitch above and stand on the pipes on your right or left side. Then jump up into the hole in the ceiling and glide to the other side of the box. Make your way to Twinkle Park. Read Part 2. Part 2: Get the Cart pass (if you have it) and stand inbetween the Twinkle Park Entrance/Exit. Climb onto the side of the door when it's open (the slit where the door slides through) and climb up until your diagonal. Occasionally, you will be pushed up on top of the doors, jump and you may go through the ceiling. Sometimes it works in one ty sometimes it takes forever to do, so just keep trying. Then just glide to the other side of the Twinkle Park door. When you get in, you will be falling. Glide towards your life icon and then twitch the camera so it is behind you. Keep flying for about 15-30 seconds and you will come across the 1st level raceways. DO NOT go into any cars, as the game will freeze. Also, once on the 1st part, if you glide through the loops, the camera will go ecstatic and zoom all the way back to the starting point, so glide over them instead. Crawl down the tube instead of jumping down it, or you will fall to your death upon arriving in Pleasure Castle. In pleasure castle, DO NOT ATTEMPT to go into the bowling area. You will get stuck. You can reroute back to the beginning of the Twinkle Cart part also. When you come to the part where there is a thing up above you and it seems you cannot go any further, jump onto the fan and try to get pushed up by the fan blade (they are solid), fly to the next one, do that same thing, and make your way up to the top. Right near the door, the camera will zoom out to the beginning of knuckles' level. To fix this, Triple-punch your way towards the door. The camera will fix itself. To get into the dome, just fly through the left side. < G. E-102 In Part of Sonic's Final Egg > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Hover Power-up Character: E-102 "y" Where Preformed: Final Egg Near the end of Final Egg, bounce up the spring. AMY IN EMERALD COAST!!! > Picture to use for guidance: http://sonichacker.homestead.com/files/AmyEC.jpg Difficulty: Medium/Hard Requirements: None Character: Amy Where Preformed: Station Square. SPECIAL NOTICE/WARNING FOR THIS GLITCH: IF YOU SHUT YOUR PC OFF DURING A SAVE OR WHILE IN A ACTION STAGE THE SAVE FILE WILL BE DELETED. TO PREVENT THIS, TRY NOT TO DO ANYTHING THAT WOULD REQUIRE YOU TO RESET DURING THE ACTION STAGES Look at the above picture and place the burger guy right there. Make sure the camera is set to free mode to make it easier. Then, run in between him and the fence until you reach top speed. The minute you reach top speed, hammer jump and you should be able to go right in Emerald Coast. To get past the whale, read the second part. You should be fine up until the ramp, right? Well, on the straightaway before the turn leading to the ramp, jump and stop. Go near the corner. Hammer jump around the corner and onto the ramp. You won't trigger the whale to chase you. < I. Sonic In Tails' Speed Highway > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Speed Highway First, get Sonic right next to the spot in "Speed Highway" where the bumper is for "Goin' Down". Now, spin-dash, let go, and then quickly jump to the little highway thing. If the camera messes up, set it to free mode. < J. Sonic in Knuckles' At Dawn > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Speed Highway - At Dawn At the Start of At Dawn hit the speed booster to your right and go on the wall. Instead of going the normal way get to the HIGHER part of the wall then jump to the ledge. That part is the easiest to get to, the other is a little harder. Go through the At Dawn part until you reach the area where you run on the wall again (this time on the left side of the screen) normally you run on the wall and end up on a ledge. But you will notice a ledge above you. Try running up to that and when you slow down JUMP and you can make it up (if you don't jump you fall) from there look to your right and there will be a roof. Spin dash over there and you're in. < K. Knuckles in Amy's Mirror Room (ALMOST!) Sonic In Knuckles' Casinopolis > This glitch was submitted by SonKnuck. Difficulty: Medium Requirements: NONE Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Casinopolis Method 1: First, you need to get 100 rings in the pinball machine. When falling out of the pinball machine, you SHOULD get high enough to reach Knuckles' area to the side (Don't ask me which, it changes from time to time). That is how I got Sonic to, unfortunately, go through the floor of Knuckles' area. But I'm not giving up. Method 2: Stand on TOP of the Sonic Pinball game behind the "777 SLOT PINBALL" sign (will NOT work on the NiGHTs one). Next, charge up the light speed dash but release before he says "Ready...". Jump RIGHT at the part where the ramp turns completely upwards so you dont lose your speed. You are going to hit the ceiling but the result is a glitchy camera showing a part of Knuckles' area and Tails might make his way up there. < N. E-102 In Speed Highway (ALMOST!) > This glitch was submitted by SonKnuck. Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Hover Powerup Character: E-102 Where Preformed: Station Square Go between the doors of Twinkle Park and but do not go inside. Now jump and try to stand on the doors after they close on you. When you stand on the doors, jump again and go forward for about 3 seconds so you can avoid the Twinkle Park entrance. If the camera goes away from E-102, go in and out of Twinkle Park and redo the previous step. Then turn to your left toward the Speed Highway building. If you are lucky, you could make it inside the elevators of Speed Highway but nothing happens once you get there. < O. E-102 In Amy's Hot Shelter (ALMOST!) > This glitch was submitted by SonKnuck. Difficulty: Medium Requirements: Hover Powerup Character: E-102 Where Preformed: Hot Shelter You know the room where there's this moving platform, the one that you rotate by about 90 degrees? I noticed that RIGHT before entering the door that leads to the area, there's a wheel like the ones you change direction of on the right side of the door leading to that room. I jumped on it, and I jumped again as high as I could and went toward Amy's area (had to go through a wall). I landed on a small platform behind the door leading to Amy's area and from there all I could see was blackness. < P. E-102 in Part of Sonic's Red Mountain > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Hover Character: E-102 Where Preformed: Red Mountain Note: This glitch was sent by AJ. Get to the first checkpoint. Get on the platform that is in front and to the right of you. Get on the fence. Jump, and hover to the over side, where you'll be stopped by an invisible wall. Now, make your way to the right, when you get as far as you can go, jump over the big rock. You can now explore part of Sonic's section! < Q. Blast To The Past...Forever! > NOTE: This glitch was submitted by Crystal the Hedgehog. DIFFICULTY: Easy/Medium REQUIREMENTS: NONE CHARACTER: KNUCKLES WHERE PREFORMED: Various WARNING: DO NOT do this glitch if you intend on completing the save file! First play Knuckles' Adventure until he arrives at the Egg Carrier. Then, instead of walking around and activating the cut-scene of the ship changing, go straight to the swimming pool! This will be full still! Now do the 'Sonic in Deep Water' [Author's Note: This glitch is in my guide]] glitch, enter Sky Deck, and complete the level. When it goes to the flashback, Knuckles will appear in the tunnel instead and give no dialog! If you go to the altar you'll find that there are 3 chao and an unconcoius Tikal there... but you can't activate the story line! In some places you can't even punch, mainlyaround Tikal. If you try walking through her or jumping on her, you get blocked by a collision ball... that weird one around Tikal in Debug I presume! There isno undoing this afterwards, you are stuck there and that's that, even if you exitand reload! The only way to undo it is to delete your file and start again! < R. Tails in Emerald Coast... TO PREVENT THIS, TRY NOT TO DO ANYTHING THAT WOULD REQUIRE YOU TO RESET DURING THE ACTION STAGES First, start a new game and unlock Tails. Glitch into Emerald Coast right away. Finish the level (as much as you can, anyway.) and glitch behind the barrier as if you were going to re-enter EC. Instead of flying towards EC, move towards the back end of the hotel, near the doors to the casino area. Fly behind the doors and land. You will need to almost fly up under the trigger for the casino area.... Once you're in, just hit the switch and play the level. To escape, do the same as with Donic. now, quit and select trial mode. You'll only have access to emblem results. Odd, huh? Almost done. play through Windy Valley as Sonic to open action stages in trial mode. As you would expect, Sonic can play Emerald Coast. But you can also select Tails. Select him and you'll see that he has no levels to play...or does he? press A, and the confirmation box will pop up, saying Miles in Emerald Coast! The level plays like normal (normal for Tails, that is) so there's still no way to get to the second half of the level. After "beating" EC, try to re-entier it through trial mode. The confirmation box now says Miles in Mystic Ruins.... You're taken to the Hedgehog Hammer room, but the machine isn't there. By getting the camera out of bounds and going into the doorways, you can see some rings outside of the level, about 15 of 'em. < S. The Plug > Difficulty: Easy-Medium Requirements: Life Belt Character: Big Where Preformed: Hot Shelter I found out something cool in the Hot Shelter as Big. First, use the emergency water valve to drain the water. Swim around near the top of the water and you'll find an opening, go in it. Swim to the top and go in another opening. There is a hole and a computer-sign that says "WARNING! There is a plug in the center. Be careful not to trip over it." You can open it! First, put your lure near the plug, on the bottom of the floor and reel as if you were going to get the plug. Then, if your lure gets stuck to the plug, reel and press left or right on the analog stick. It drains the water! Then, go out of the plug room and to the emergency drainage switch area. The water level is higher! Go straight in the emergency room to find another opening. Bounce up the bumper to another opening. Go in it. Walk around till you get to a room with a kiki (the orange monkey), and there is another computer-sign that says, "WARNING! The Water is covered with glass. FRAGILE! Please be careful!" Now, there are over 1500-g fish swimming under that glass. Stand on the side and fling your lure to make the glass break. (This may take several tries) Now, I know that whole thing is for something, but what? Could it have been part of the Hot Shelter before? Is it a glitch? (Note: The is a point marker near the plug. Also note that there are new fish in this area. Also note that there are rings, power sneakers and a kiki. So, the programmers must have put that there before.) < B. The Super Fishing Hole > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Life Belt, lure upgrades are optional. Character: Big Where Preformed: Emerald Coast In Emerald Coast as Big (must have Life Belt), look around until you find a help ball saying, " There is a secret passage somewhere, go and find it. The Weird Sound > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: You are on the left pillar Character: Any Character Where Preformed: Station Square First (after beating everyone's including Super Sonic's Adventure), go beat Speed Highway with Tails. Confirmed Weird Sound > Difficulty: Information, no difficulty. Requirements: You are on top of the left pillar Character: Any Character Where Preformed: None The Weird Sound has been confirmed!!!! Go to the entrance of the cave near the Chao gardens in Mystic Ruins. Go right near the fence. Jump off, activate the hover and make a sharp right turn. You should be doing as if you were floating to an underground train station. When you get close enough, you will see a green tunnel. Great job, TMC! < J. Get into the Speed Highway building early > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: You might want to get the Jet Anklet, but it is optional. Reuse Animals > Difficulty: Easy/Medium Requrements: NONE Character: Any Where Preformed: Chao Garden This glitch is quite simple, yet sometimes hard to do. What you need to do is get an animal, any kind, and go near a Chao that's standing still. If you have a Chao that likes to move around, give it a fruit. Then you place the animal between you and the Chao. It'll look like it took the animal but it's still on the ground. You can pick it up and give it to your Chao again and again. Do this to easily max out your Chao's stats! < N. Sonic and the never-ending Light speed attack > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Light Speed Attack & Light Speed Shoes Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Anywhere where a Kiki in a cage is This is an easy glitch but really fun and cool to do. Find one of those annoying kiki guards (like the one you attack to get into Red Mountain) that are in a cage. Charge up your light speed attack. Now, do a triple punch. This will cause Knuckles to do an uppercut and then fly backwards. < V. The Ultimate Slide > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Multiple Where Preformed: Station Square This is an interesting but fun glitch. I know for a fact that this works with Sonic, Knuckles (he looks REALLY COOL IF YOU DO IT RIGHT), Tails, and Amy. I still have to test it with E-102 and Big. Anyway go to Station Square over where the boat is and where the shoreline breaks. No do you see that slanted ledge? Well get on it and don't move now they will strike a certain pose (for instance there walking/standing/running/looking around pose [you will see when you do it and they will slowly slid over to the right (where Twinkle Park is) while staying in the pose and it looks REALLY cool. < W. If you can run along the ceiling just right when you reach the end, you will come out and hit the wall of the next part (the part for the second tunnel; the one that leads to the room with the spikes). If you do it right, you will run up along the wall; it will sort of look like Sonic is "sliding" up the wall. When you reach the top, there is no ceiling here! If you do it right, you'll hover right on down to the bottom. Now you can keep falling! When everything is black, then you can stop hovering. < AS. Sonic stuck above Windy Valley Entrance > Difficulty: Medium Requirements: NONE Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Mystic Ruins You know that brown bridge that goes up the hill leading to the waterfall? Spindash up that, jump at the top of the hill, and direct yourself toward that narrow chasm. If you make it, you will get stuck up there! < AT. The Hidden "Recap" Screen > Difficulty: Medium Requirements: You didn't get the Crystal Ring in Sonic's adventure Character: Sonic Where Preformed: NONE This glitch was submitted by EKC. If you do not collect Sonic's Crystal Ring in Sonic's adventure, you can collect it in Super Sonic's adventure and it WILL save. Thing is, when it saves, it also activate a hidden cutscene that they took out of the "regular" game. Here's what EKC said. Now that I've gone back for a second try I can no longer play as Super Sonic. After the Super Sonic introduction "Hi, I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog..." it does one of these three things: 1) Resets the PC 2) comes up with the "Hedgehog Hammer" mini game title then stays on it. 3) Does the same as #2 but then loads into it, but all it is is sonic falling endlessly. < AU. Free Falling 2 > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Mystic Ruins In the Mystic Ruins, go to Angel Island. On that Island is a cliff. Go to the end of the cliff and go back a little. Face yourself out into the ocean, and do the spin attack. Let go, and immediately press A to jump and then hold the analog stick forward. Do the homing attack while in the air, and Sonic will fall forever. < AV. Erased Game Bug > Difficulty: NONE Requirements: NONE Character: ANY Where Preformed: NONE If you shut off your PC in the Chao Garden while saving or in a Action Stage (solves erased games on the Characters in Other Levels glitches) your entire game will be erased. < AW. E-102 Outside Mystic Ruins > Difficulty: HARD Requirements: Hover (optional) Character: E-102 Where Preformed: Mystic Ruins: Angel Island Tunnel Take E-102 into the place blown out of the side of the mountain. Go up the blast of wind to the tunnel that leads to Angel Island. Get into Wheel Mode (he'll say "Mode Change" when you get into it). Now try and get up onto the walls of the tunnel (just run into them in Wheel Mode), and go over to the wall above the hole you go into to get to the Train Station part of Mystic Ruins while still on the wall in Wheel Mode. Now, if you can get to that part, E-102 will be forced THROUGH the tunnel wall and out into nothing-ness. < AX. The Revenge of The Plug > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Life Belt Character: Big Where Preformed: Hot Shelter Use the emergency water valve to drain the water. Go in it. The first glitch in my guide. Well, I went back through it and I found some more! 1. Big can fall through the floor somewhere in "glass covered" pool. This leads to the path you took to reach the Emergency Drainage Room. Open the doors at the end of the corridor, and you'll see water RIGHT in front of you. That defies the laws of physics! 2. Big can go above where you are supposed to. Grab the the speed shoes and run toward the glass pool. Now, at the top of the ramp, jump up. Move over to the platform above you. Now you can be up there! < AY. Knuckles In Sonic/Tails Speed Highway (ALMOST!)> NOTE: This glitch was submitted by Roly755. Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Knuckles Where Preformed: Station Square Sewer Choose Knuckles and go to Station Square. Go to the sewer that leads to where tails gets the jet anklets. As your entering the tunnel turn left and go on thet corner. Face the corner. Press the jump button. Knucles will go through the roft and stay on the roft. This may take several tries. When you're up there glide to the end of the sewer and if you're lucky you'll find an invisible platform above the sewer you can stand on. From there you can go to where tails got the jet anklets, the elevators that lead to speed highway, the tunnel that leads to twinkle park, or into the abys. < AZ. Knuckles Out of Casinopolis > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Knuckles Where Preformed: Casinopolis You know that spot up above the fountain? Climb up there. Now, climb onto the ship that is pointing out. Start flying frantically at a spot between the ship and the wall it's sticking out of and you will go through it. < BA. Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Can only be performed if you didn't take the black egg from the cages in the cage room of the Egg Carrier Character: Amy Where Preformed: Egg Carrier in the Cage/Hedgehog Hammer room Take Amy to the 3 doors in Egg Carrier and use the one on the right. Go to the other door, which takes you to the cage room. Open the middle cage. There should be a Black chao Egg in it. Pick it up and take it to the Hedgehog Hammer Game and drop it on one of the holes. Go back to the cage room ans ther will be 2 chao eggs, one inside and one outside. Take the one whose inside and drop it again on one of the holes. Now there will be 3 chao eggs, the previous 2 and one in the center of the deck (near the monorail buttons). < BE. Amy stuck above Windy Valley Entrance > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Amy Where Preformed: Mystic Ruins With Amy, go to where the wind is blowing up to Windy Valley. Go to the right side of the hole, and start making your way along the little grass part so that it appears you are behind the blowing wind. Knuckles Floats Upwards > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Any place with water (Twinkle Park, Icecap Pool) Character: Knuckles Where Preformed: Any place with water (Twinkle Park, Icecap Pool) Fly into the water. Let go of the A button for less than 1 half-second, then press it again. Knuckles will float up every time he curls into a ball! < BH. Knuckles Drowns on Air > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Knuckles Where Preformed: Mystic Ruins UPDATE: Carterman thinks this: "I'm guessing that since there's water on the inside of the trunk, being close to it counts it as underwater, or something", and he might be right! Thanks Carterman! Go to Mystic Ruins. Go to Big's house. Climb up the tree trunk (on the outside, the side closest to the wall). Stop when you see bubbles appear out of Knuckles. Sit there for about 20 seconds, and Knuckles will die! < BI. Sonic Rocket 2 > Difficulty: Medium Requirements: Light Speed Dash Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Station Square Go down to the Casinopolis area. Activate the line of rings that takes you to the button that opens Casinpolis. Get on the left side of the first ring, and charge up the Light Speed Dash. Now, when Sonic says "Go", let go of the charge button and immediately push up on the controller stick. Sonic will go flying high into the air. It might take a few tries. < BJ. Shop Escape > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: There is an egg to take off of the stand Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Station Square This glitch was submitted by Robert. You can escape from the shop, while the bars are down, and still get the chao egg out! First you must pick up the egg, and walk into the window, keep walking, and drop the egg. If it lands one the switch, try again. After that, go to the left of the window, and run into the picture thing, on the display. You have to spindash at a 40 degree angle, between the picture thing, and the window. You should fly out of the window. Now go to the shop window, from outside the shop, and you should see half of the chao egg, poking out of the window, you can pick it up,and the bars will still be down. When you return to the store, they have the rock on the switch. The game probably thought you got it the normal way. < BK. Big and the Car > Difficulty: Extremely Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Big Where Preformed: Station Square Get on top of a car going to City Hall from the Twinkle Park area or on a car going from City Hall to Twinkle Park area, and cast your lure, and hold A. Big will either run into a brick wall or go into the abyss, depending on where you are. < BL. Go down the Bumper Car track without a bumpercar > Difficulty: Easy/Medium Requirements: NONE Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Twinkle Park (not Twinkle Circuit) This glitch was submitted by Robert. First you must go close to the gate (the one that opens when you drive the bumper car near it), then you have to get in the left corner. You must spindash into the gate, you might go through slighty and the fly back, if so, keep trying. You have to get it at the right angle, or it wont work. Once you get through, the camera is still inside the room with the bumper cars, just press the d-pad, and it will show beyond there. I can't seem to get the camera to stay that way. < BM. Sonic Rocket 3/Get to Tails's Jet Booster location as Sonic > Difficulty: Medium Requirements: NONE Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Station Square Go behind the Entrance of Twinkle Park and Jump into the water. Right in front of you, you should see a ramp type thing. Spindash, let go, and jump RIGHT after you let go of the spindah, and you get a huge amount of air (the height type, not the breathing type, and sometimes this won't work though becuase it will make Sonic float) and go to the far left of the top of the building, there are a few spots up there where you go through the wall. It's kind of a matter of luck whether you land in Tails' area or behind the gate though, but once you practice it's relativly easy to get to them. < BN. Big Swims Up The Waterfall > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Not sure, but you might need the Life Belt Character: Big Where Preformed: Mystic Ruins Half of this glitch was submitted by super_sonic2000. His part: Go to the left side of the waterfall where you fought Chaos 4 and press A twice real fast and you should float up. My part: Jump, press and hold Up (while facing the waterfall, and the wall behind it) and Big should swim up the waterfall, but he stops about two-thirds of the way there, due to an invisible wall I believe. < BO. Knuckles Flash > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Knuckles Maximum Heat Attack and Shovel Claw (I think that's what it's called) Character: Knuckles Where Preformed: Speed Highway This glitch was sent by Nove! You know that big fountain that shoots you into the Air? There is a black road around it where alot of cars like to drive down and hit you. If you follow that road from the fountain to the other end you will see a tall, narrow clock in a circle of grass. For some reason you cannot dig on the grass, in fact when you try to dig Knuckles doesn't even say "It's no use". Now, while you are in the grass Charge up the Maximum Heat attack. Throughout this glitch you must now not let go of the button you used to charge it up. Now, with the Maximum Heat Charged up, Jump. If you still have the maximum heat charged, Knuckles will start Blinking as if he was hit and he will also blink into ball mode. It's very weird. < BP. Knuckles Out Of Mystic Ruins 2 > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Knuckles Where Preformed: Mystic Ruins This glitch was sent by Nove! Go as Knuckles(or Tails) to the Mystic Ruins. Go to Tails' workshop and jump to the top of his House. There is a small balcony there and on top of the dome is a small platform surrounded by a rail. Get on that small platform and face the ledge where you got the Sonic Emblem. Turn right a little bit where you can see one part of the mountain and another part a little bit behind it. Now Glide/Fly into the mountain to the right and you will go through it. Now turn left and you can see the place where the minecart goes and Tails hidden airway along with a brown tunnel above it. You can also land behind the gates of the minecart that leads to the Chao Garden if you want to. Note that this can be performed as either Knuckles or Tails but it is alot easier to maneuver if you are Knuckles because you can't get tired and he's easier to turn with and land. < BQ. Train Glitch > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Maximum Knuckles Heat Attack Character: Knuckles Where Preformed: Mystic Ruins This glitch was sent by Nove of the GameFAQs Message Boards! Go into the train with a sheild on or while you have the Maximum Heat Knuckles attack and go into the last train door. When it leaves, the sheild or attack sheild is there but Knuckles isn't. < BR. Knuckles Stuck > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Shovel Claw Character: Knuckles Where Preformed: Mystic Ruins This glitch was submitted by Kitsune Sniper of the GameFAQs Message Boards! The first time that you use Knuckles in the Ruins, go to the cave where the gloves are. Get the Monkey Suicide button, and take it with you to the Wind cave. Jump on the left part of the place where the wind is blowing, then move left slowly. If you do it right, Knuckles will get stuck. He can move, but can't jump, and his weight forces him to the floor of the air current. He also cannot get rid of the button, so essentially, he's stuck until you restart or reset the game. < BS. Sonic into Egg Viper "Launch" Room > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Light Speed Dash Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Final Egg There are two ways to do this glitch: #1 is submitted by Jan Abaza, #2 is from MangaMachine/Diablohead. 1: Get to the very end of Final Egg. Get a electric shield. Light Speed Dash along the set of rings right before the Egg Capsule. Let go, and when you are launched high, move over to the right. You will literally fall through the wall leading there. 2: Get to the very end of Final Egg. Light Speed Dash along the set of rings right before the Egg Capsule. Go up to the Egg Capsule, and get on the small angled ledge on the opposite side of the door (next to the Egg Capsule). Spindash and jump, and try and jump through the wall. < BT. The Studder 2 > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Hover Character: E-102 Where Preformed: Red Mountain Go near some lava with at least 1 ring. Let the timer run down to 10 seconds. Then, get ready. When there is 2 seconds left, jump and Hover to over the lava. When it reaches zero, E-102 will say "Act-Activity Ceased". < BU. E-102 Invisible > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: E-102 Where Preformed: Red Mountain Get to the E-series battle robot. Let the time run out, and if the robot fired a missle and it was close, E-102 will turn invisible when he gets hit. < BV. Foggy View of At Dawn > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: None Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Speed Highway: At Dawn NOTE: This was submitted by ThatGuyWithTheHat. In the At Dawn section of Speed Highway(I think this is only for Sonic) if you bounce on one of the awnings just before the breakaway glass thingy the camera will start moving further and further upwards with every bounce until eventually you've just got a purple background and a very foggy overhead view of the level map. < BW. Sonic Rocket 4 > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Light Speed Dash and Attack Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Speed Highway: At Dawn NOTE: This was submitted by ThatGuyWithTheHat. Also in At Dawn for Sonic, if you charge up a light speed dash and jump into the fountain when it's at full power and let the dash go at the height of the blast, you can get onto the roof of City Hall. Jump to the section of roof to the right and you'll see that there isn't much to the roof. Over the edge is nothing but purple. < BX. Unused Part of A Level? > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Hover Power-up Character: E-102 Where Preformed: Windy Valley NOTE: This was submitted by ThatGuyWithTheHat. In Windy Valley as Gamma, go to the springboard way off to the left on that little chunk of ground. Spring off it and then start hovering and move forward through the level(careful around some of the walls as they try to hold you to the normal path). If you do it just right you can just land on that ledge above where you fight Delta. As you land there, the large stones on the ledge float away, apparently unaware of the absence of the tornado. Off in the distance from here you can see a little more of the level that no one ever goes to(but perhaps were originally going to?), but you can't get to it. < BY. Standing in Mid Air > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: None Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Station Square NOTE: This was submitted by ThatGuyWithTheHat. If you enter the Chao elevator in Station Square, face forward and jump just when you think the doors will close, your character will jump and stand still in mid air... if you time it right. < BZ. Get Light Speed Shoes Early> Note: This glitch was submited by Knux Chao! Difficulty: Medium/Hard Requirements: None Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Station Square First, of course, you need a new file. Beat Emerald Coast, but don't take the train yet. gotowards the city hall area, where you fought Chaos 0. It's blocked off. There are 2 ways to do this. You can try to spin dash through, especially near the walls, but this can take a while. The other way is easier, but may take a life. Go to the left side and into the corner of the building and the invisible barrier. Face the buildings and spin dash straight through into nothingness. As soon as you pass through the wall, make a right towards the barrier. You should go to the city hall area, and die in a few seconds. If you don't want to lose a life, quickly spin dash back to the train station area. If you make it, just walk back to the city hall area. Now, that was the easy part. The black car is blocking your way into the sewer. To get into the sewer grab burger man statue. Take him to the car. Try to set burgerman near the car, so you can't fit between the two. Jump between the car and the statue. hopefully, the statue will push you under the car, and into the sewer! Now, get the shoes like normal. Dddly, the antique shop man isn't there to "greet" you when you exit the sewer through his shop. Now, you could probably just quit and you'll return in front of the train station with the shoes. But if you don't feel like quiting, you can get past the barrier from this directon, too. Like before, you can try random spin dashing. Another method is to go to the right of the screen, opposite where you fell through before. In fact, you want to spin dash through the wall just like before. If you dash in the right spot, you can fly right into the waterway behind twinkle park. < CA. Get into Casinopolis Early > Note: This glitch was submitted by Knux Chao! Difficulty: Medium Requirements: Light Speed Shoes Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Station Square Go to the brick wall to the left of the doors that lead from the train station to the casino area. Look at the rows of bricks. You'll notice that in rows 2 and 3, every other brick is a bit darker. Look at the second pair of dark bricks from the door. You will aim at the rightmost part of the top dark brick. Next, charge your light dash. Face the spot mentioned above, perpendicular to the wall. (at right angles, for the geometry-impaired.) Now, jump and homing attack that spot. If you don't go through, try again. When you go through, light dash. You should go through the wall in front of you, which is actually the back of the wall in the casino area! (don't give up if you die, just try again. I must've waisted 15 lives trying to get through twice.) Now all you have to do is hit the switch and light dash the rings to open the casino. There's no glitches in casinopolis, the game doesn't freeze when you beat it, and your file won't be deleted. To exit the Casino area, do the "Hedgehog on a Hot Tin Roof" glitch (glitch "Y" above) < CB. Get into Twinkle Park Early > Note: This glitch was submitted by Knux Chao Difficulty: Medium Requirements: NONE Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Station Square Go into the sewers, either the normal way or the above method, and change the camera to free camera. Now, look at where you fell from. Now, see the pipes on the walls? Jump on one, then jump up into the pipe you fell from. This will get the camera out of the sewer, so you can see where you're going. Hold up on the c-stick to put the camera over you. next, charge your light dash and get back on the pipes. Jump up into the big pipe you fell from, and homing attack and light dash forward and left, behind the box. You'll fall through the ceiling and be behind the box, where Big goes to twinkle park. Now simply follow the path to the elevator and go to Twinkle Park! Once you exit the level, go back towards the elevator from the sewer. don't go into the little room, stay in the glass pipe. Spin dash where the pipe and the wall touch, and you'll fly out. < CC. Sonic/Tails in Speed Highway Early > Difficulty: Easy with Tails Medium with Sonic Requrements: NONE Character: Sonic/Tails Where Preformed: Station Square First, do the "Get Tails/Knuckles in the sewer" glitch above, but instead of going to the sewer, head to the other side of Knuckles' Speed Highway entrance. If you make it, You can play Speed Highway early! < CD. Get to Angel Island Early > Note: This glitch was submitted by Knux Chao! Difficulty: Medium/Hard Requirements: NONE Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Mystic Ruins First, go to the wall across from the train station. note the large rock. Go to the right, and note the corner. You need to spin dash off the rock, run up the wall to the top of the corner, spin dash and jump off of the corner, and go around to the tunnel. It's difficult, but once you get used to running on the wall it gets a bit easier. < CE. Reuse Small Animals > Difficulty: Easy/Medium Requirements: NONE Character: any Where Preformed: Chao Garden Fist, make sure your chao is sitting still. Then, pick up and animal and drop it in front of your Chao. If done right, your chao will "drop" the animal but still gain its stats, then just pick it up and drop it again. make sure to distance yourself. You need to drop it right inbetween you and your Chao. Do this to max out stats easily! < CF. Emblem Glitch > NOTE: This glitch was submitted by DK BOARD! Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Any Where: Preformed: various You know those field Emblems around the place? If you collect one it says "Saving" But honestly, it doesn't save the game or something until you leave area or beat an action stage. (At least for me.) After I got an Field Emblem at Mystic Ruins, I quitted the game and went to see Emblem results, after I saw it wasn't there. I went back to get it from the same place, but it wasn't there anymore. So literally got stucked without getting the last emblem. ;_:And now, I have to restart the game all over again... NEVER-EVER QUIT THE GAME IF YOU COLLECT AN FIELD EMBLEM, INSTEAD GO-TO A ACTION STAGE AND BEAT IT. (Just to make sure the game saves.) < CG. Outside the Barrier of the Past > NOTE: This glitch was submitted by Knux Chao! Difficulty: Easy/Medium Requirements: Reccomended Super Sonic unlocked Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Master Emerald Shrine in the Past Go into the past in either Sonic or Super Sonic's story. It's probably easiest to use Super's, since you don't have to play through the whole story. Make your way to the wall directly behind the emerald shrine, onto the highest rock. Spindash off the rock and over the wall. You'll fall through, and either land on a narrow strip of land or fall until you die. From here, there's really not much you can do besides run around, or jump off and die. < CH. Through the Wall in Sky Deck > NOTE: This glitch was submitted by Knux Chao! Difficulty: Easy/Medium Requirements: NONE Character: Knuckles Where Preformed: Sky Deck Go to Knuckles's Sky Deck, and go down to the lowest set of doors that open when the ship tilts. Go to the one in the middle, and glide into the wall above the door. You should be able to fall in. To get out, do the same. It's harder, though, because of the camera angle. This is actualy useful, since there's sometimes an emerald shard in there. I got about 37 seconds without the restart trick because of this. < CI. Gamma outside of Egg Carrier > NOTE: This glitch was submitted by Da Real Kooky! Difficulty: Easy/Medium Requirements: NONE Character: E-102 "y" Where Preformed: Egg Carrier Go to the front of the ship, where the runway is, as E-102'y'. While facing the bridge, drop down on the left side and run towards the bridge. Once you reach rolling mode, turn around and head back towards the lift leading to the runway. Before you reach the lift, turn to the right and drive to the greyish front of the Egg Carrier beyond and below the runway. You obviously can't reach the area because it's beyond the playing field... However, if in rolling form, you can drive through the invisible wall and onto the 'nose' of the Egg Carrier. Continue rolling or running all the way out, towards the tip of the nose(it's quite a long jog... The bloody carrier is long...), and as you can tell, you can actually stand on the material, instead of falling through it.Once you reach the very end of the nose, drop off. When you drop, switch to your hover form and guide yourself back towards the Egg Carrier(obviously under it). Once you got out as far as the tip of the nose, falling into the water will not result in a life loss.... Hover and continue to guide your way below the Egg Carrier(which strongly resembles the front of the transformed Egg Carrier... Sorta. From here, basically, explore. If you drop of the edges, however, since you're below the 'dying field', you'll just fall and fall infintly. < CJ. E-102 Under the Wood Planks in Mystic Ruins > NOTE: This glitch was submitted by Da Real Kooky! Difficulty: Easy Requirements: Hover Pack Character: E-102 "y" Where Preformed: Mystic Ruins Walk to the fence, and just to the right of where the boardwalk ends you'll be able to pass the invisible wall (it's just around the edge of the wood). Jump off and activate the Hover mode and slowly fly into the small cave opening below the boardwalk (it's hard to get into; you'll have to jump and hover real close to the edge) and you'll start floating above the small river. From there, going through the side walls and hovering, you can go into the Launch Tunnel for the Tornado 2 (though there's no soild ground inside it) or continue along the river to the waterfall area. < CK. Sonic Runs up a Building > NOTE: This glitch was submitted by Da Real Kooky! Difficulty: Easy/Medium Requirements: NONE Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Station Square City Hall area Along the wall with the entrance to the Burger Shop, there's small red (I believe) awnings which you can jump onto the edge of(but you'll quickly slide off). Once on them, quickly spindash up and, if at the right angle, you'll start running up the wall. If you keep going up, chances are when you reach the top, the view will change and you'll get a nice view of the whole area(from behind the Burger Shop wall, though it'll be an airial view so it won't block the sights). If the camera don't change(Auto Camera, haven't tested Free), you'll fall behind the wall(with a changed view, holding up will cause you to fall near the streets) and into the abyss. < CL. Sonic Outside of the Egg Carrier > NOTE: This glitch was submitted by Da Real Kooky! Difficulty: Easy/Medium Requrements: NONE Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Egg Carrier Version 1: This one will get you slightly under the Carrier, however, you can't go passed the water level without death. Transform the Egg Carrier and head to the lower deck, near the Sky Deck entrance. Go to the eastern side below(where there's a cannon and beyond it is the greenish glass on the right, and water on the left). Spindash. A LOT. Keep tapping B to spin-spin-spin. Keep beating at the Invisible Wall(that keeps bouncing you back). It'll take a while and good aim, but if you try to shoot for the greenish-glass, you'll go beyond the barrier and land onto the glass. You can't go very high on the glass, though, just the normal distance as going around the Sky Deck entrance. You'll do a lot of slipping, so Spindash is good. If you go down, you can go below the deck and see the bottom of the ship, just like in My Gamma lies under the ocean, but you can't get very low... Version 2: This is the true version... You can reach the same area as Gamma, and explore basically the whole underside of the Egg Carrier. This also involves a transformed Carrier and on the lower deck. Go to the Station Square boat landing (go right down near the boat), and try to jump onto the stairs (jump from the side to the middle or so of the stairs or you'll be warped back up to the deck). Once on the stairs, spindash up and jump just before to top (maybe a little eariler than that) and hold right. You should land on the greyish area beyond the invisible wall. From there you can do two things: 1 is head towards the nose of the ship and drop, where you'll land on another grey area just below the ship, and you can then venture and explore as much as you can under it (don't fall, or you'll fall forever unless you quit). The other thing is sorta get between the deck and the bottom of the Carrier by spindashing near the sides (just below the Runway, near the invisible wall). It works best on the Mystic Ruins boat landing side. Anyways, I can't remember it fully, but I seemed to 'fall' through the grey part and I ended up just below the water level surface (I could see Sonic 'through' the water)... Weird stuff. < CM. Into Silver and Metal Sonic's Tubes > NOTE: This glitch was submitted by Da Real Kooky! Difficulty: Easy/Meduim Requirements: NONE Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Room leading to Final Egg In the Mystic Ruins Base area as Sonic, go to the corner where E-102 Gamma was made (the corner with the green platform and all the arms). Stand on the green platform and jump and tap the jump again to dash attack-thing. You should be real close to the wall when you do that. From there, stay close and you can walk out around the back of the E-prosessor thing and towards any of the tubes where the AI-enhanced Sonics are. Just go to the back of them and simply walk through the glass, and you're inside them (man... Silver Sonic is huge compaired to normal). To exit the tubes, just walk forward or to the sides. ------------------ 6. SADX:PC Hacking ------------------ There are many cool things you can do with SADX:PC as far as hacking goes, and this sections explains it all. ------------------------- 6A. Questions and Answers ------------------------- Q. Is this legal? A. Yes it is! We are in no way modifying the EXE of the game, but rather editing the memory Q. Editing the memory? You mean the savegame? A. No, no. Editing the memory is exactly what a Gameshark or Action Replay does. It tells the game to do or load something in a different manner by changing the active memory in your RAM (where your computer stores your running programs) Q. Does the game need to be closed for me to do this? A. Nope, this is all done while the game is open. Q. So, how do I do this? A. Quite simple really. First, you get your needed tools (see the next section), and input the addresses for a certain function in the game. Then, you change the values for them and can cause the game to do some strange things. Q. I'm still confused. Can you explain it to me any better? A. Sure, just contact me and we'll see what we can do. Q. I found something that I think you would like to add here. Can I give you it? A. Of course! I'm always willing to see new submissions. ----------------- 6B. What you need ----------------- You will need a tool that can edit a game's memory. My tool of choice: Cheat Engine. You can get it at: http://members.brabant.chello.nl/~p.heijen/Cheat%20Engine/ Though you can just search for any other tools (there are many) off of Google. --------------------------- 6C. How to use Cheat Engine --------------------------- Using Cheat Engine is quite simple once you get the hang of it. Let me guide you through it. 1. Open up SADX:PC (the game, not the autorun menu) 2. In Cheat Engine, on the upper left corner of the window there is a button with a computer with a magnifying glass on it. Click it. 3. Locate Sonic.exe and double-click it There! Now you are ready to hack the game. Here is how the search feature works. Say you are trying to find the address to give you infinite rings. What you do is in SADX collect any number of rings, we'll use 15. Then, in Cheat Engine, in the value box, type "15" (without quotes). The scan type will be "exact value" and the value type will be "2 bytes" (which is equal to four digits, one byte = 2 digits). Then you click on "First Scan." You will notice that you come up with many many results. That's OK. Go back into the game and collect/loose some rings. Lets say you collected 18 rings. Go back into Cheat Engine and type in "18" (without quotes) in the value box. Then click on "Next Search." You will notice your results went down. Continue to collect/loose more rings and inputting the value into Cheat Engine and clicking next search until you are down to 1 result. Sometimes you come up with 2 results. That's OK, you'll notice that they are the same address. To add them to your list, simply double-click your result and it will be added to your list below. Now, to change it. This part is quite simple. You simply double-click the value and change it. Say you have 38 rings right now. In your code list, click the number 38 and change it to something like 999. Go back into your game and presto! You have 999 rings. Now, go back into Cheat Engine and change it to something like 500 and go back into the game. Collect some rings, you'll notice your ring counter goes up. Well, you can actually set it so it is "frozen" at 500 rings. To do this, you click the checkbox in Cheat Engine that says "Frozen," Go back into the game, and you'll see that your ring counter stays at 500, regardless on how many rings you collect. Try this with 999 rings ans see what happens. Congrats, you have now hacked SADX ------------- 6D. Addresses ------------- Here are a list of addresses me and a few other people have found while hacking SADX. You'll find some of them very good. To add these addresses click on the "Add address manually" button. NOTE: THE TYPE FOR ALL OF THESE ARE "BYTE" UNLESS SAID OTHERWISE! NOTE2: THESE ARE ALL FOR THE JAPANESE VERSION. I WILL GET THE EU VERSION AS WELL. HAVE PATIENCE! NOTE3: These addresses were found by me, dude2004, and some annonymous people. If you wish for me to add your name, please tell me. < A. Tails' Jet Anklet Toggle > Address: 03B188D5 Change to 0 to turn off Tails Jet Anklet and 1 to turn it on < B. Current Level > Address: 03B22DCC This is by far the best code I have ever seen. To use this, change the value to the value of the level you want (see list below) and freeze it. Then, go into Trial Mode, and select your character. Then, select any level at all. Instead of loading that level, it will load the level you changed the value to. With this, you can get ANY CHARACTER IN ANY LEVEL!!! Level list values (type these in for the value): 0x00 - Hedgehog Hammer 0x01 - Emerald Coast 0x02 - Windy Valley 0x03 - Twinkle Park 0x04 - Speed Highway 0x05 - Red Mountian 0x06 - Sky Deck 0x07 - Lost World 0x08 - Ice Cap 0x09 - Casniopolis 0x10 - Final Egg 0x11 - Unknown (Crash) 0x12 - Hot Shelter (No load screen, game closes) 0x13 - Crash(?) 0x0E - Crash(?) 0x0F - Chaos 0 0x10 - Chaos 2 0x11 - Chaos 4 0x12 - Chaos 6 0x13 - Perfect Chaos 0x14 - Egg Hornet 0x15 - Egg Walker 0x16 - Egg Viper 0x17 - Zero 0x18 - E-102 Beta (Original Form) 0x19 - E-102 Enhanced 0x1A - Station Square 0x1B - Strangely textured Station Square 0x1C - Same as above 0x1D - Egg Carrier Private room 0x1E - Egg Carrier (Crashes on Loading) 0x1F - Same as Above 0x20 - Egg Carrier Water Tank Room 0x21 - Mystic Ruins (Game closes) 0x22 - No load screen, game closes 0x23 - Twinkle Circuit - Has 6 courses! Current Level Segment > Address: 03B22DCC This goes with the current level code. Think of these as setting the acts of which level you wish to start at. For example: If you set the address for Emerald Coast for the current level address, and set the level segment to 1, it will load Windy And Ripply. If you set it to 2, the game will crash (because there is no act after Windy and Ripply). Use this the same way as the other code, set the value, freeze it, and go to Trial mode, select your character, and select a level. < D. Selected Character On Menu > Value: 03B2A2FD This one explains for itself, just change the value to select the current character selected on the character select menu. < E. Gravity > Address: 03B0F0FD Type: Float This is an odd code to use. This is somewhat like the moonjump code from the PAL SADX for the Gamecube, except harder to control. Here are the values: For a character to float in place, change the value to 0. The character will now be floating. He/She cannot walk/run, but rather float around. Set the value to 3, and the character will fall upwards very quickly Set the value to 6, and the gravity will be very strong. The character will fall very quickly, and cannot jump high. To return to normal gravity, you must set the value to 1.75864975142553E-38 (yes, that), < F. Debug > Address: 03B2A2FD Set the value to 1 to have an almost true debug mode. All characters (except Tails) can move around through walls. They cannot walk but rather be moved around, sort of like the classic Genesis debug mode. Holding the action button and moving up and down will move the character up and down. < G. Lives > Address: 03B0EF34 Change the value to the desired amount of lives. Freeze it if you do not want the lives counter to go down. < H. Metal Sonic Toggle > Address: 03B18DB5 NOTE: DO NOT USE WHEN TAILS IS PRESENT (that includes Action Stages) This is a really cool code that can set weather you are playing as Metal Sonic or not Set it to 1 to change to Metal Sonic and 0 to change back into Sonic < I. Current Character AKA Model Mod > Address: 03B22DC0 This sets which character is currently playing. This can be done in the Adventure Field or in an Action Stage Values: 0 = Sonic 2 = Tails 3 = Knuckles 5 = Amy 6 = E-102 7 = Big For this to take effect you must freeze the value then restart the Action Stage or enter a different Adventure Field. --------------------------------- 7. Fun Things To Do --------------------------------- This is a list of cool glitches you can try in Sonic Adventure DX: PC. The following glitches have been tested, and should work. The ones I have tried have worked on the American version of the game. I'm not sure if they will work on the Japanese version, though. This isn't a complete list, but it does have several fun-to-try glitches. Happy Glitching! < A. Stop Traffic In Speed Highway: At Dawn > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NO ls Where Preformed: Speed Highway - At Dawn (glitch) Use The " Tails In Goin' Down and At Dawn" Glitch. Then go stop traffic! It's kind of funny because once when I stopped traffic, the cop speeder couldn't get me. < B. The Elevator > Difficulty: NONE Requirements: NONE Character: E-102 Where Preformed: Egg Carrier. In The place where the Jet Booster for E-102 if you look around enough, there is an elevator. I guess in the version before there wasn't a spring to bounce you up. < C. The Magical Teleportation > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Any Where Preformed: Station Square. Go to where to Burger shop statue is. Pick him up; take him into the burger shop. Place him against a blank wall and drop him. If he falls down beneath the shop, run out quickly and watch him reappear! < D. Tails in Mid-Air > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Tails Where Preformed: Egg Carrier Chao Garden Go to the Egg Carrier's Chao Garden through the E-G-G-M-A-N password passage as tails. When you get there, turn right and fly to the big rock. Then when you are on the rock try and fly out to the sea. Keep on trying to fly to the sea. When you land, you are running in mid-air. < E. The Hammer Swing > Difficulty: NONE Requirements: NONE Character: Amy Where Preformed: Station Square. In the burger shop, (after completing Amy's adventure) use your Piko-Piko Hammer to try and whack the employees. They duck when you swing it as if they were going to be hit. Also, (thanks to Dr. Eggman,) you can use any character to try and hit the people. < F. I Will Survive... > Difficulty: NONE Requirements: NONE Character: NONE Where Preformed: Speed Highway - At Dawn In At Dawn, doesn't the background music sound like the song "I Will Survive"??? < G. Terrorist > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Any Where Preformed: Any level with Kikis With any character, get a kiki to throw a bomb at you. Then, try again, pick up the bomb. If you are quick, you will pick up the bomb and it wont go off. Throw this bomb at the kikis by jumping and pressing the throw button. It is darn too bad because with tall characters, it takes longer for you to pick them up. < H. See-Through > Difficulty: Easy-Medium Requirements: NONE Character: Sonic Where Preformed: Casinopolis In Casinopolis, go to the main room and run over the under-glass roulette table while holding the right trigger. The camera will show the inside of the wall and it looks like a real roulette table. < I. A Ghost Of A Chance > Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Any Where Preformed: Station Square Train Station Go into the train station, go into the train, go into first person view and watch as you go through the walls of the train. < J. Compact Bed > NOTE: This Fun Thing To Do was submitted by Neo Chaotikal. Difficulty: Easy Requirements: NONE Character: Big Where Preformed: Mystic Ruins Ever played with Big's bed? Go to Mystic Ruins with Big, to Big's place. Grab Big's bed. Go to the Sand Hill Entrance. Place it on the sand that's blocking you from going in. Now push it in. Ever wanted a compact bed? Do this! Big the Cat is gonna get "Sandy Claws" in Christmas Eve! - Thanks Neo! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 8. Camera & Other Glitches/UNSOLVED MYSTERIES/Small Glitches - OUTDATED ------------------------------------------------------------------------ UNSOLVED SA MYSTERIES If you examine the sound files in SADX:PC, you'll notice that there are many unuses sounds there. *Odd Sound Test Sounds* 04-1-20 is a very scared Knuckles. In 04-1-21 Knuckles is playing football ^_^ 06-1-07 is a very scared tails. I told my friend who also has SA and he noticed that those were there too. 00 is big's sounds 01 is the Chao 02 is Amy 03 is e-102 04 is Knux 05 is sonic 06 is tails --------------------------------- 9. Extras/Song Remixes --------------------------------- SONG REMIXES: In Twinkle Circuit of Sonic's theme - 0:57 in a 2:21 min mp3 In Final Egg - Crank The Heat Up! of Sonic's Credits - 2:39 in a 3 min Mp3 In Emerald Coast (Windy & Ripply, first few seconds) of Sonic 3D Blast's (Genesis) boss music (first few seconds) EXTRAS In "Extras" there is stuff that doesn't fit in any other section. The ever mysterious Burger Man statue. What did it do? The little girl keeps saying "He goes for walks". You can use him to get into Casinopolis in the Japanese version by glitching, and that's it. Windy Valley underwent a couple of changes. For a start. Big went there, he no longer does. Windy Valley had a lot of Barriers with Arrows in it, Dark blue on light Blue, in some videos. The actual area of Windy Valley beta, despite me being told otherwise, seems to be in the area that Sonic flies over in the final when he's being sucked into the tornado. It's the right shape, and there is a Tornado in the Windy Valley beta area in videos and screenshots. All the echidnas in Sonic Adventure DX: PC all have crooked tails... Tikal doesn't. Why? During Super Sonic's Adventure, you can play any of the levels you can play on Sonic's Adventure. If you look in the grass on the left side of the entrance to Speed Highway (as tails)You can find a Card. That card allows other characters to go into Twinkle Circuit. If you make the characters stand, (not moving) you will hear the characters say things like Tails in the train station, he says, "Trains are Cool Too!" They say if you get 130 emblems, SonicTeam has a special download for you. I don't know if it does, I haven't got all 130 emblems. When racing Twinkle Circuit with E-102 when you finish he says " Driving Complete " (similar to " Rescue Complete " heard when you destroy a E-100 series robot.) Press the jump button right when it says goes in Twinkles circuit. It will give you a speed boost. There is a weird secret switch thingy that has something to do with the Antique shop by it's sound. It's on the little green "Island" outside city hall, and also just in front of the wall (Freestylin'). It doesn't really seem to do anything. You have to glitch something before you get it, I think. Also, if anyone knows of any glitches not mentioned in any FAQ or guide (including mine), please email me at SonicHackr2000@excite.co.jp . Credit will be given to those who submit codes. --------------------------------- 10. ASCII Art --------------------------------- ASCII stands for American Standard Code for Information Interchange. A explanation of what ASCII Art is, is "arranging symbols, letters and numbers to create block letters, for example" For simpletons, ASCII art is putting different characters into large, decorative, letters. ASCII Art is very hard to write. It may take several tries to get ASCII art the way you want it to look. You can learn more about ASCII art by searching for "ASCII ART" on your favorite search engine. FIGLet is a ASCII Art creating tool that allows you to select from many different types of styles of ASCII Art. It is great for ASCII Art beginners. FIGLet can be found by searching for it under your favorite search engine. If you can't find FIGLet, email me saying "I Need FIGLet" and I will send you a copy. ------------------------------------- 11.
