Stuck, shaking item

Does it work? --> Confirmed. It works.

You can get items like P-switches and springs stuck in solid spaces. You have to be riding Yoshi to do this. Grab the item with Yoshi's tongue to put it in his mouth. Now, walk to the area of solid blocks. Spit out the item and it will sometimes be stuck in the blocks, quivering back and forth.

Bring items up vines

Does it work? --> Confirmed. It works.

The thing about this glitch is that it's not so exciting, but it's very useful. It lets you bring items up vines... and that can be cool. Items you can bring up include P-switches, shells, springs... basically anything you can throw upwards. Go under the vine and throw the item upwards (push up and then Y). Now, before it falls back down, hold Y and climb the vine. The item should land on Mario and disappear, but it's still there. Continue to hold Y and if done properly, when you jump on the vine, you will be holding the item.

Rotating blocks weirdness

You need an area with multiple rotating blocks you can jump up to. We used the end of Yoshi's Island 2 to do this. In this level, jump three times under the blocks so that all three are rotating. Now, quickly run to the pipe at the left and jump from it onto the blocks. If the timing works out, the top two will still be rotating and you'll land on the bottom one which has finished rotating. When the top two blocks stop, they will try to push you out and the blocks will sometimes start rotating again if you manage to stay in your position among the rotating blocks.

Power down (or die) when you're not supposed to

We think this works with any enemy, but we've only tried it with wrigglers and goombas. Bring a spring to a place in the enemy's trajectory. Now, time a jump so that when you land on the spring, the enemy will be right in front of it. Although jumping on a spring bounces you and jumping on a badguy injures the badguy, neither will happen and you will in fact power down (or if you're little Mario... you'll die).

Unprotective Yoshi

Does it work? --> Confirmed. It works.

Go to a level with a lot of wrigglers, like the Forest of Illusion 1. Now, go through the level and get Yoshi. There is a spring sort of nearby. Lick it up and spit it out in an area that the wrigglers will run through and that's easy to see. Now, jump on the spring continuously. The wriggler will eventually come into your path. Eventually, you will get hit by the wriggler. When you get hurt, Yoshi's supposed to run off and you're supposed to stay the way you were. But, in this case, Mario will still be on Yoshi but power down. If you're little Mario, you will die on top of Yoshi. This sometimes works without the spring; if you jump on wriggler at a weird angle, you'll get hurt. This is shown in the first two screenshots with Mario powering down. The last two screenshots show Mario dying using the easier spring method.

Sticky Rope
Discovered by: Wilma at CGS
Exciting-ness scale: 3.5 out of 10
Does it work? --> Confirmed. It works.

Go to the Cheese Bridge Area and go past the middle gate. Go a little past the blue pipe, and you'll find a long rope that you can hang onto that goes back and forth. Jump onto it and then go down the rope. When you touch the ground, Mario will be standing like when he's normally standing, but he'll be still attached to the rope - going back and forth. If you walk a little bit left or right, you'll have some resistance and when you let go of the direction, Mario will slide back to the rope. However, if you jump or move too far, Mario will become unattached from the rope.
