Mario can go through several characters in Super Mario RPG. This tends to work best with characters with set movement paths, but may work with others as well. Two clear examples are in the Mushroom kingdom. If you enter and then exit the home with the string of three kids going to the water spout, and then stand in their path, they will go through you. Also, if you talk to the kid that runs around in circles while she's in her home, she'll run through you if you're in her path. There are probably several examples out there.

This only works during the Shyster attack that happens early on in the game, in the Mushroom Kingdom. Go to the building with the kid jumping on the bed (it's in the upper-left corner). Save the kid's family by killing the two Shysters. Then, go upstairs and kill the Shyster jumping on the kid's bed. The father will thank you, give you a prize, and then encourage his son to keep on jumping. the boy will start jumping rapidly. Now, jump on top of his head and jump up and down. Eventually, he will sink into his bed and then after you jump a bit, he'll end up almost through the ground. Strangely, his shadow will stay on the bed. And, the bed will not be springy like other beds in the game. This doesn't seem to work at any other time when he begins to jump rapidly.

You can only do this after you have gotten Bowser. Go to the Mushroom Kingdom and find the girl that's running around in circles outside. If you can't find her, go into her home and talk to her - she'll then run outside. Her home is in the lower corner of the Mushroom Kingdom. Now, while she's running around outside, open the door to her home, but don't enter. Then, talk to her. Bowser will scare her off and she'll run into her house. Strangely, it'll make the door opening noise although the door's already open. Now, walk slowly into the home. You'll be able to enter the house's shape without entering the house. If you go too far in, you'll end up entering the actual house.

Where's Mario? In that house - but not IN it.

Go to the Mushroom Kingdom. Find the home with the kid jumping on his bed, on the 2nd floor. Talk to him and encourage him and he'll jump faster. Now, jump on his head and jump up and down on top of it. Sometimes you'll slip through his head even if you don't move the Control Stick. If this is the case, you'll be stuck inside of the kid and you can't move. To get out, jump and you'll get out of the kid.
