When you shot into an enemy with a weapon and use the actionpause with the shot still inside the foe, your shot will stay put while the foe's temporary invincibility timer runs out. When they become vulnerable again, simply unpause and repause, inflicting more damage with the same shot. Since most foes died in a single shot, this trick's uses are limited. But, it's super helpful when dealing with the Cyclopsed Rock Monster.
