Run up a flight of stairs really quickly, but stop in the middle. Now, don't hit anything and if done correctly, Luigi will start to strangely slide backwards, falling back step by step... We've only tried this in the main stairway.

In the room with the instruments, before killing Melody, turn on all the instruments. Then, talk to her and fight her. After getting her, the instruments will still be on (music notes will come out of them) but you'll hear no music.
