Set the taunt command to one of the shoulder buttons (L2 works best). This glitch only works for Android #17, Android #18, and Cell. You must have Energy Field equipped. If you execute the short cut Energy Field (Back+E) and do a taunt just before it registers, you will perform your character's taunt though the screen will change like it does when performing a special move. Your opponent will also be frozen in place. You're free to do whatever you please but as soon as you strike your opponent, they will be able to move again. Timing is crucial for this to work.
You can shoot about 20 Ki Blasts at your opponent and then attack. However, the way you attack might cause a bit of slowdown for a few seconds (while making a big explosion), or worse, freeze the screen and force you to reset. Sometimes even dashing towards your opponent from a full screen distance can freeze the game.
